Cask at Cambridge Winter Beer Festival, Friday 20th January 2017 in company of FatPhil and Anna Pours chestnut in colour, malt driven, fruity with a slight dusty old leather and furniture feel about it, a little sweet but then dry. Quite liked it, nice to see Lacons recreating these lost styles. A6 A4 T7 P3 Ov13 3.3

Cask gravity at Cambridge Winter Beer Festival, Friday 20th January 2017 in company of FatPhil and Anna Copper in colour, not much of a head. Nice aroma, there is a touch of orange mingled with Werthers original. Light hoppiness but actually some bitterness on the finish, orange oils, toffee nice beer, drinks very well considering its quite pokey. A7 A4 T7 P4 Ov14 3.6

Pig’s Ear Fest. Cask. Clear deep brown beer, small pale tan head, Palate is smooth and has low carbonation. Mild dark malts, touches of dark chocolate and dark fruits. Some ripe fruits. The lack of condition sucks what little life there is from this thin standard stout. Dull and tired.
