Pours hazy dirty brown with a beige head. Strong resin aroma. Losts of resin/grapefruit over mild roast caramel. Quite bitter. Better than average IPA.

12 oz 2004 bottle a bonus from Ratman! Thanks Don! Nose of raisin pie with some toffee and the pies yeasty crust, nose is really mellow! Very murky amber with a small beige head. Flavor is lightly sweet, lightly bitter, with an Adam old ale note. Quite a decent barleywine.

12oz bottle. Orange-tan color, certainly closer to an Amber ( as the bottle accurately describes it) than a Golden Ale. Soapy, patchy head. Relatively straightforward smooth caramel malt tones with a touch of amber underneath. Has some similarities to a Cream Ale at times with its creamy orange-vanilla aroma and flavor. Not much hop presence, which works well in this case. Not exactly world-class, but certainly smooth session Ale.
