12 oz 2004 bottle a bonus from Ratman! Thanks Don! Nose of raisin pie with some toffee and the pies yeasty crust, nose is really mellow! Very murky amber with a small beige head. Flavor is lightly sweet, lightly bitter, with an Adam old ale note. Quite a decent barleywine.

11th October 2008. GABF. Cloudy brown beer. Dry palate. Dry sourish malt with a bittering mid and finish. Too many rough edges!

12oz bottle. Orange-tan color, certainly closer to an Amber ( as the bottle accurately describes it) than a Golden Ale. Soapy, patchy head. Relatively straightforward smooth caramel malt tones with a touch of amber underneath. Has some similarities to a Cream Ale at times with its creamy orange-vanilla aroma and flavor. Not much hop presence, which works well in this case. Not exactly world-class, but certainly smooth session Ale.

draft at the brewpub - Pours hazy copper with a small, lingering white head that leave some lacing. The aroma is led by grapefruit accented hops. The flavor is sweet malt and moderate hops with a touch of citrus. It’s a little lighter than I’d like but has some good, crisp hops in the finish.

draft at the brewpub - Pours cloudy light yellow and has lots of blueberry in the aroma. The taste is mild and wheaty with very obvious blueberry. I find the underlying beer a bit lacking, but the blueberries are nice.

draft at the brewpub - Pours a hazy straw color with virtually no head. It has a rich, yeasty, banana aroma. The taste is sweet and wheaty with substantial banana and spice notes. I enjoyed this hefeweizen.

draft at the brewpub - Pours very dark brown with a roast malt and coffee aroma. It tastes of roast malt and bitter coffee with good hops bitterness there too. Medium to full bodied, it’s a good quaff and my clear favorite of the sampler.

draft at the brewpub - Pours cloudy copper and has a nice grapefruit hops aroma. The flavor has good, citrusy hop bitterness and well balanced sweet malt in there too lending a medium body to this not very complex but very drinkable IPA.

draft at the brewpub - Pours dark brown with a light tan head. It smells of dark roast malt with chocolate and coffee. The taste is of a coffee accented dark roast malt and while alright, seems kind of dull or flat in flavor. It’s medium bodied and a fairly good brew though I often like porters even more.

draft at the brewpub - Pours hazy gold with a lasting white head. It smells of bready malt and some mild hops. This light to medium bodied brew has a pleasant enough balance between the pale malt and the hops. It’s light to medium bodied and a decent quaff.
