50 cl bottle. Almost black body with small tan head. Flavour is roasted malt, coffee and chocolate.

Bottle picked up at Bellingers, Jet Garage, Grove, Nr Wantage, Oxon, consumed 25-02-10 This explained out of the bottle, I suppose that’ll teach me for not waiting for it to settle. I lost over half a bottle as an impressive Vesuvius like eruption continued to take place. The beer when it finally settled was a hazy brown, again another casualty of my pour was the appearance of the beer. Sweet nose, touch cloying. The taste was also sweet and in my opinion overly spicy, there is a hoppiness trying to show through but again its drowned out by the spice. Not the best beer from Durham but in fairness I didn’t help matters. A5 A3 F6 P3 Ov11 2.8

Cask. Slightly hazy yellow with a creamy off-white head leaving some lacework. Lightly citrusy nose. Light body, dry and lightly tart citrus notes with a dry and bitter finish. 180110

Cask at Kelham Island Tavern, Sheffield. A light golden beer with a lazing whige head. The aroma has notes of elderflowers and hops. The flavor is sweet with notes of flowers, malt, elderflowers, and hops, leading to a nicely bitter finish.

Bottle from Kris Wines. Pitch black beer with no head. Aromas of dark roast coffee, dark chocolate, ginger, burnt wood, roasted malts, caramel. Interesting. Flavours of coffee, caramel, butterscotch,licorice, dark chocolate, quite vinous. Man alive! You can certainly feel the alcohol in this one. Good throat warming qualities. Dry, warm finish.

Bottle conditioned ale, bb. Feb.2010, cellared for about one and a half year after I bought the 500ml bottle at the Real Ale in a Bottle Bar at GBBF 08. A bit gushing when opened. Frothy, white head slowly fading atop of a slightly hazy, light amber body. Moderate smell of spiced yeasty fruitiness. Delicious taste profile with a fine blend of succulent fruits like a bit of grapefruits and lots of oranges, and fruity dryness added by a solid smack of spices. Rounded hop bitterness to the ending sustained by warming alcohol. Good drinking on a Friday eve (Tromsø, 15.01.2010).

Bottle 50 cl. Pours golden with a slight haze and a white head. Freshy fruity aroma - bubblegum style. Medium body, sweet malts and fruit with a discreet bitterness. Very pleasant and quaffable - and not very lager-like at all. 180110

oro aroma di radice leggero malto un tocco di toffee lieve agrumato scorza di limone in bocca il malto cè ma è subito sovrastato dalle note intense amare dei luppoli anche agrumati
