Bottle thanks to David. Pours a very dark hue, black with a small beige head. A big nose of chocolate, heat, spices. Rich, clear chilies, vanilla, whiskey. Cocoa and lots of bitter chocolate. This works perfect.
Bottle thanks to David. Pours a pitch black hue with a medium brown head. A big coffee and vanilla nose. Rich, huge coffee, layers of cake and vanilla. Not hot. Great.

2020 bottle purchased at the Brewery. Thanks to Gary for bringing over and sharing. Aroma is overt coffee and roast. As it warmed, sweetness from the maple came out in slight amounts. Pours black with dark tan head. Flavor is strong coffee and roast. Sweetness from the maple more pronounced on the flavor than the aroma. Mouthfeel is rounded well. I didn't notice the bacon on this. Nice beer all around, although the roast and coffee overpower it more than the other eclipse beers.

2023 edition. On tap at the Crafty Fox in SF, September 2024. Opaque, dark matter black. Sweet maple-y bourbon nose, slight sharpness. Warming to hot, rum raisin, lingering licorice, slight oxidation. Nice but I've had better 50/50 variants.

Nice traditional easy drinking pilsner. Bittersweet with decent body and carbonation.
