Bottle Pours a hazy slight pinkish witha quick off white head. No real lacing. Slight aroma of raspberries, I suppose, and they are inthe flavor as well. A bit soapy, and extract-ish. Just tastes cheap. Clean quick fairly dry finish, quaffable but move on to some thing better in the style.

Light maize in color, the initial head is foamy and starkly white. Leaves small patches of lace and eventually fades to partial cover, with a flurry of bubbles rising in the liquid. Clear, filtered.
Dry, hoppy nose shows something similar to magnum, but maybe not that strong. Lots of hay, bits of lemon and with a dry, well-attenuated and sponge cake-like maltiness behind it. Moderately crisp lager yeast bite on end present, with a touch of light metallics. But the hops are definitely quite aromatic, clean and pleasant. Maybe the faintest touch of corn, upon warming some, but it’s marginal/fleeting. You can definitely tell it’s dry-hopped and for this large brewery to produce and distribute up to MA where it sat warm on the shelves for a time (not that long), I’m well impressed.
The clean, to-style presentation continues in the flavor, with dry, hay and straw hops, light bits of lemon grabbing at the sides of the mouth and just a hint of honeyish maltiness behind. Bit of earthiness and some stronger breadiness, but the hops keep things mostly clear. Light bodied, with some pear and nectarine skin notes joining the lemon flavors as it breathes. Slight touch of metallic character again, but minimal. Carbonation isn’t overdone, though it’s forced. Lightly grainy, crisp texture, with little wateriness for the style.

Abita definitely has some interesting beers that are different from the rest. This is listed as an American wheat and it does say wheat on the label. Brown 12 oz short stubby bottle with a twist off cap. It pours somewhat like a wheat, with just a little haze. The color is a somewhat lemon yellow hue. Has a hint of aroma that is yeasty and somewhat wheaty in nature. The initial flavor is somewhat bitter, and is not much like other wheat flavors I am familiar with. It is more somewhat lager-like with hints of bitterness. Good carbonation with constantly rising bubbles that don’t really qualify as lacing. Finish is interesting, medium bitterness that fades rapidly. This beer wears the costume of a wheat but has the personality of a mild ale-like lager. I’ve tasted pale lagers that are more wheatlike than this.

Hmm... this beer is paler than Piels and has minimal head. Smells somewhat yeasty and wheaties-like. Tastes much the same. Pretty much a bready beer with not too much taste as a whole, but it is very easy and refreshing to drink. Nothing offensive at all.

Looks cloudy with a sea foam head. Smells unsurprisingly like raspberries. Taste is a watery combination of yeasty bread and seltzer with raspberry syrup. ’Tis a simple beer, but it really ain’t too bad.

After reading the reviews here, I was not really expecting too much from this brew, but instead I got a beer that I wasn’t quite expecting. The beer was a lot hoppier than I had expected. The colour looked as i thought it would, but the head was pretty nice. The taste then comes off as smooth, but a little bitter with noticeable hops all through it. My father thought it was watery, but I felt that it was quite alright in that respect.

Looks all swanky with a nice dark brown colour and a kind of thick head that sticks around and to fingers. Smells nice and malty. Taste is a little chocolaty, but not in a stout kind of way. It isn’t sweet per se, but rather almost sweet. There is no offensive taste in this brew and is one of the rather good and interesting brown ales that I have tasted.

Fall fest from Abita, brown 12 oz twist off cap bottle. The bottle is short and stubby like other Abita beers I’ve sampled. This has some stiff competition for the style, including hacker. Twist off the cap to reveal aroma of sweetness hint, background of a strong ale and typical festive smell. Clear brownish light yellow, the head is small and white, and then rapidly fades to leave a ring on the top. Taste has a nice impact, not overwhelming with alcohol, but it does let you know it is there. Lager with personality. The end leaves a shallow bite on the palate and the ol’ uvula senses a hint of bitterness tho relatively mild and acceptable for this style. Well behaved and enjoyable. This is a good beer but I rate the following October fests higher; Hacker, Hofbrau & Schell. This is on par with; Penn, City, Victory & Flying Dog.

Bottle from Beer_Hawk; Thanks! Nose is citrus hops and floral notes; Gold with a small white head; taste started out tart and then changed to lemon and hop bitterness, which lasted into the finish.
