Cask at Charlie’s Bar, Copenhagen. A deep red beer with a thin light orange head. The aroma is sweet and dominated by berries, while the flavor is lovely sweet with notes of straw and berries as well as light notes of metal on a malty back ground, leading to a dry bitter end. The body is a bit thin, no wonder though at 3.8% ABV.

500ml bottle from Sainsbury’s, Holborn. Shared with my friends at a hotel room in Kings Cross. Clear golden in body colour under a creamy, white head retention. Aromatic floral hops. Fruit cocktail flavour with notes of lemon, grapefruit, orange and melon. Nice bitter ending. Zesty and refreshing drinkability. Very moreish (01.02.2007).

Bottle from Sainsbury, Kidlington. Had this cold as it recomended but I found that this dulled the taste experience somewhat. Poured a pale blond colour, with busy white head that qucikly faded away. Some malt and citrus aroma’s, taste was less intense than expected but there was a definate citrus flavour to this beer though the bitterenss seemed blunter than I’d hoped and remembered last time I’d had this.

The bitter hoppy aroma hits as soon as the bottle is openned; pours a pale blonde colour with a white head;good balance of honey sweetness and bitterness at first and than a zing a lemon. Very, very good.

Cask gravity at Halfway House, Brenchley. Copper colour, disappearing head. Just a bit dull on the aroma. Biscuity malt, some toffee, some sharp hop that is a bit sherberty. Not as intense as I would expect a Harviestoun beer to be. Reasonable fullness in mouth, some nuttiness. Dryish finish.
