A hazy orange beer with no head. The aroma is sweet with notes of peach and spices. The flavor is sweet with notes of peach and alcohol, that prickles the tongue.

Golden-amber colour. Hop aroma and flavour - toasty, woody, with hints of multigrain bread and caramel. Very typical amber ale.

Slightly hazy straw-colored body, thin clumping off-white head. Citrus and pine hops aroma with some caramel. Nice fresh piney and earthy hops flavor with touches of citrus rind. Enough sweet caramely malts and biscuit to balance the fresh hops. Lingering bitter aftertaste. Not too shabby.

Clearish orange-red body, thin light cream head. Chocolate, toast, and unusual earthy hops aroma. Weak chocolatey toasty body with earthy hops flavors coating the mouth and a slight tanginess before the finish. Bland and boring for a brown ale. The description states this is "brewed according to tradition." I think they forgot to add "of mediocrity."

Bottled at Maxfields, Potsdam NY. Light hops and malts in a hazy golden ale. Fresh malt and intense citrusy hops, lingering in the mouth, but not resinous as would be expected in the C-hops. A littrle overbearing. Medium bodied.

Bottle. 2003. Beautiful ruby-brown color with a thin beige head. Sweet malt aroma, with some raisin, fig, and date. Raisin, dat, rich caramel malt flavors. Some alcohol wamring. Just enough hops. This beer has a rich, deep flavor. Great barley wine with a bit of a fruity flavor. Wonderful complexity.

Cloudy gold under a huge off white head. Nice floral hop aroma accompanied by a rich yeastyness. Bitter from the start to the finish but having enough malt present to keep this in between the lines. Nicely bitter IPA won’t please everyone however.

Slightly hazy golden colour with a large dense cream coloured head with tons of small bubbles rising from the bottom. Nice appearance! Aroma of fresh low a.a. hops (not much, but enough to notice), wheat, cardboard and some lemons. Without looking, I would assume this is an APA, not a wheat. Light-bodied; Mild citrus flavour with a small amount of hops peddling by. Some malt is noticeable, but the [common] wheatie flavours are lacking. No coriander seed to speak of, no bubble gum and no cloves, but this one does share a nice freshness via hops. Aftertaste is clean and light, hops are noticeable but so is the lemon. Overall, a very nice beer, perfect for the summer...I was not expecting this one at all, but I was pleasantly surprised! A great beer by North Coast! I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased at Total Wine in McLean, Virginia on 26-September-2004.

Bottle Pours a hazy medium amber, with little whith head. Spotty lacing. Aroma is hops and malt. Flavor is stronger on the hops than I would have guessed but tasty. The dark malts are fairly very sweet and balance things nicely. The flavors are strong and right up front, the feel is quite smooth with modest carbonation. After taste fades quickly leaving you with just enough hops bitter to linger a bit. Fairly bold and tasty.
