Dark brown color. The aroma is nice, shows some balance, vinous, woody, nutty. The flavor is too earthy, doesn’t have the malt depth of a Barley Wine, some caramel; it has a sour vinous note, very low sweetness, earthy and astringent in the final. Alcohol burn.
Ok beer, I don’t know where they got the Barley Wine style from, though.
I would never pay 20$ for a bottle.

Dark brown color with beige creamy head. Acidic aroma, fresh, fruity. Dry mouthfeel, not weak. The flavor is dominated by the lactic acid, with a fruity note; in a blind tasting there wouldn’t be mention of dark malts, almost.
Monodimensional lactic Sour, but enjoyable.

On tap at Powell Street, pours a cloudy deep dark mahogany with a small beige head. Nose brings out lots of funky brett upfront, followed by prominent oak and subdued toasted caramel. Flavour is bold, with a wonderful brett character upfront, followed lots of oak, heaps of dry toasted caramel and a warming finish that permeates. The brett really nicely incorporates with the barley wine notes. Excellent stuff.

Draft - Sour dark plum and raisin. Deep jet brown with a light brown head. Tart and light acidity with prune, plum and raisin. If you like dark fruit this is a nice sour.

On tap at Powell Street, pours a deep dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma brings out a dominant seltzery note as with all Powell Street spurs, followed by subtle lacto tartness. Flavour is a bit better, with lacto tartness, medium acidity and dark fruits emboldening the body a bit. Still not convinced by any of PS's sours - this is lacking depth and cohesion as all the others. Not bad, but they need to completely gut and redo their sour base.

On tap at Powell Street, pours a cloudy blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out a very nice rustic saison yeast upfront, with some light citrus zest and crisp crackery malt. Flavour is very bright and crisp, with a very nice rustic saison yeast brightness, along with bright citrus zest and dry biscuity malt. Wonderfully structured - the yeast expression is very pleasing. Finishes crisp and zesty. Really good.

Hazy blond-golden color, poured with almost no head. Refreshing aroma, fruity hops, late summer flowers. Bone dry mouthfeel, that highlights the crisp character of the malts, midly biscuits too, and then bold bitterness, the hops have a resiny, piney, orangey character, and a hint of tropical.
Very good.

On tap at Powell Street, pours a clear pale copper golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of toasted crackery malt, bone dry hoppiness, and a touch of pine. Flavour brings out dry piney hops upfront and a bone dry toasted crackery malt base. Well-constructed, with a nice hoppy punch despite being somewhat muted. Solid but uninteresting.
