650 ml bottle. Pours a clear dark brown with might head that settles quickly. Aromas of dark cherry pie filling and spice. Flavors of vinegar and a bit of cherries. No depth or real flavors.

Draft - A bit of varnish and cherry. Dirty brown with a rich beige head. Ouch, too much nail polish and acetone notes. Not good.

Draft - Toasted malts and a touch of banana. Deep jet brown with a decent light brown head. Muddy, raisin and some dark fruit with a poor finish. Not a fan of the style to begin with, but this is not very good.

Draft - Nice fresh leafy hops. Clear gold with a sold white head. Perfumy notes, leafy and bitter hops. A little less bitterness and I would really like this.

On tap at Powell Street, pours an opaque dark reddish brown with a large beige head. Aroma brings out acetic notes, with subtle cherries - not the most potent aroma. Flavour is quite ascorbic, with high acidity dominating. No cherries noticeable, nor any complexity whatsoever. This is an acetic bomb gone way wrong. Really bad.

On tap at Powell Street, pours a clear golden with a medium white head. Aroma brings out fresh piney hops, with lots of leafy goodness, and just enough biscuity malt backing. Flavour is quite sharp, with lots of fresh perfumey and leafy hops, and some doughy, biscuity malt to finish. Quite sharp and somewhat astringent on the finish. Very hoppy and bitter. A little harsh, but I like it.

Draught at the brewery, bottled 01/10/2015
Dark blond color, quite clean. The hop aroma is almost delicate, not amazing, more a good Pale Ale than a PNW IPA; the mouthfeel is soft and medium-dry; I’m a bit disappointed by the dullness of the malts, but at least it’s pale, not based on sticky caramel; good bitterness level, with some hop resins and very limited hop fruitiness.
It’s a clean and very pleasant Pale Ale, but it doesn’t strike as fresh-hop. In the end, I just believe that the hops of the Fraser valley are very far from the hops of the Yakima valley.

The color is almost black, with a small beige head. Too cold. The aroma has some dark bread in it. The flavor has some roasted malt, some dark chocolate, light acidity from the dark malts, dark bread again, and a touch of liquorice that I find out of place; rather dry.
Not a classic Dunkelweizen, those are mellower. Ok beer.

On tap at Powell Street, pours a deep dark brown / mahogany with a medium tan head. Aroma brings out toasted nuts, dark cocoa powder an crusty bread - smells very nice and true to style. Flavour is quite full-bodied, with lots of dry dark chocolate upfront, followed by crusty rye bread and some toasted nuts. Lots of body, with a good integration of different flavours. This is very well done.

750 ml bottle. Big gusher - minus a point. Pours a hazy amber with huge head. Aromas of brett, bananas, leather and pineapple. Flavors of dried fruit and bananas, rye cereal, and yeast. A bit metallic. Nice enough but a bit of brett overkill I think.
