Bottle at Van Moll, Eindhoven. Aroma is roasty with milk chocolate, dark malt, mocha, and some coffee. Flavour is mild sweet with decent bitterness. Body is medium to full. Good roasty dark chocolate aroma, tasty. A solid Imperial Stout.

Bottle from Speciaalbierpakket. Aroma is dark malt with roast, rusty metal, tobacco, and liquorice. Flavour is medium sweet and fairly bitter with some coffee-like sour notes. Body is medium with low carbonation. Strange beer with some unpleasantness in the aroma.

AROMA: medium-high hot alcoholic aroma followed by medium-low to low notes of chocolate, slight sulphur, isovaleric, wood and yeast. APPEARANCE: very dark brown color and opaque. no head. TASTE: initial medium-low whisky and faint wood note, followed by low coffee malt notes. medium-low bitterness with an almost dry and slightly roasty finish. MOUTHFEEL: medium-high body with very low carbonation. alcoholic warmth. OVERALL: an underwhelming imperial stout with a strong alcoholic presence.
