750ml bottle marked "batch 3" - Golden cloudy appearance a good belgian white should have, with a short-lived head, but very impressive lacing. Smells like lemons and spices. High carbonation mellows after sitting for just a short while. Very complex little belgian white..probably the best of the style I've had. Very citrusy, spicy - orange peel - you can really taste the coriander suggested on the label - slight yeasty undertones and some malt presence hanging out in the back, which lingers on after the rest of the party has left. An excellent, refreshing witbier.

Dark blond, cloudy. Aroma of perfume, spice, malt. Pale malts and flowery notes. Dryish, yeasty finish. Quality tripel.

Colour: straw to chromate-yellow, clear. Very thick, white head. Nose: buttermilk whilst pouring, yes, diacetyl! Overpowers everything else. Taste: dry-bitterish, quite outspoken at first, merges into a soft-sweetness. Again very lactic touch. Definitely diacetyl but luckily less pronounced than in the nose. I want to taste citrus, spicyness and hops, but keep getting butterscotch. Mouthfeel: very mellow, yet dry. Slightly sticky. Throat-warming effect. Aftertaste: as said, creamy-sweetness - keeps relatively long. Diacetyl is a killer, certainly in blond & dry beers. An esteemable effort - but ruined

Great dark amber in colour...slightly hazy and opaque. Great 'wheaty' smell with hints of spice and everything nice! Very full-bodied and full-flavoured. A great belgian ale from a great brewery! I still haven't had an Allagash beer which I didn't love!

A cloudy pale yellow colour with absolutely no head. Very spicy smell, but that of a typical white. A flavourful and pleasant taste. Noticable spices and somewhat fruity with a good mesh of hops and malt. One of the best white's i've ever had!

Batch 30. This looks, smells, and tastes almost exactly like Victory Golden Monkey. Translation: It''s a damn good tripel. The major difference this has is it''s somewhat dry finish. There are less spices in this brew, but I most certainly taste the banana and honey suggested in the commercial description. I think this is a bit better (heavier, fuller flavored) than the monkey, but not by much. It''s 5.29 price tag is the lowest I''ve paid for a 750 ml bottle, which is a major plus.

Head is large and in between creamy and bubbly. Lasted long. This beer initially had stong citrus notes but also touched upon the sweeter part of my palate. I found this in itself to be unique. Finished strong with a full body. This is a wonderful beer to someone who does not even generally care for Belgian beers. Rerate. Upon retrying this, it continually delivers. I buy this beer often. I love the balance, and the herbal liqueur-like flavor. Epluche Culotte may be more complex, but this has the balance and spiciness I enjoy most in a tripel. I find this to be one of the least watery tripels as well. Rerate I suppose I should say more. I think, of all the good beers I have had in the last 3 years, I may have purchased this one the most frequently. That is, in part, due to its broad availability near where I live, but I think it is more due to how damned good it is. I could never tell this wasnt made in Belgium, in a blind taste. Wonderful balance throughout. Maybe the best example of a beer that dosent have to use sheer force of flavor and body to come across as good. It’s in the balance, the yeast, the spice, the delicate flavors that play about on the palate. Some of the newer batches have moments of, perhaps, too much sweetness, and the alcohol does show up at times, but as far as aging potential goes, this stuff is superb.

It has a pleasantly hoppy, spicy aroma, a deeply spicy palate and full body.

Pale yellow, hazy. Light bodied, very drinkable. Nice spicyness, and good citrus flavour. This is very much a Belgian style wit.

Light brown, hazy; great floral malts and coriander, cardamom in the nose; palate is not as flowery, but good malt development, alcohol and slightly hot pepper in the finish.
