Bottle in our room at DHVL. The only non-sour I drank in Belgium! It pours very dark ruby brown, with a massive beige head. The nose is pine, citrus fruit, candied peel, roasted malt and underlying spice. The taste is roasted malt, charcoal, pine, tar, assertive bitterness, dark fruit/berry, ash and some spice, with a pretty dry, bitter finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Smooth and well balanced. Sort of like a Belgian Black IPA!

On tap at take one, maastricht. Decent creamy white head. Very hazy blond pour. Nice hoppy fresh bitter aftertaste.

Pretty cloudy orange beer, nice solid creamy white head, bit adhesive. Aroma: very yeasty, some yoghurt, white candi sugar, some grains, ripe to overripe banana, no honey though. MF: soft carbon, light to medium body. Taste: yeasty bitter start, citrus, little sweet, malty, bitter hops, but unpleasant. Aftertaste: grapefruit, very bitter hops, dry bit metallic. No honey detected...

33cl bottle, BB 14/04/2014. Dorée, col blanc crémeux. Arôme légèrement fruité, la fraise couvre un peu le tout sans pour cela être surfaite. Rappelle plus la confiture avec un léger bouquet houblonné venant pointer son nez. Palais, fraise bien là, le tout sur un profile très belge accompagné d’une note d’amertume houblonnée. Garde aussi cet aspect terreux de fruits rouges et ce fini qui reste principalement fraise et qcq notes agrumes. Au final, je ne sais pas si ce volume d’alcool joue en faveur de la bière.
