Post Borefts I jaunt to De Heeren van Liedekercke. Hazy dark amber beer. A little toffee caramel on the nose (very light). Caramel malt with a little fruit and light sourness. Pretty drinkable.

33 cl. bottle @ home // thx to tderoeck // dirt-cheap, amateurish label // hazy amber with a stable white head // smells like citrus toilet cleaner & urinal cakes // tastes even worse, sweet synthetic honey, fake grains, vegetables, synthetic melon peal, citrus dish washing liquid, urinal cakes, synthetic, disgusting, unnatural bitter aftertaste, vile // drain pour bad // touch yeasty medium body, medium but feels like too much carbonation // thing that should have never been

33cl bottle @ home. Slight gusher. Hazy golden color, medium sized white head. Smell malts, yeast, lightly sugar and something weird I can’t describe. Taste malts, some sour hints or maybe the beers is infected and some sour-bitterness. Medium body, a bit fizzy carbo.

Sep 2010: Poured into a Hoegaarden ’Grand Cru’ badged stemmed tulip. Some sediment got out of the bottle which turned the beer into a cloudy orange coloured liquid, on top a pure white head. Yeasty aroma, with alcohol trying to get out too. Grapefruit and oranges also in the mix. The taste was also yeasty, laden with alcohol and citrus flavours, some sour, some semi-sour and others attempting to be sweeter. Interesting beer, I liked it, something different from the many Belgian brewed beers I have reviewed. Not great, but certainly one for more BA’s to have a look at than the two who have come across it so far.

33cl bottle. Thanks Tderoeck for the share. Gusher.

14/IV/2012 - 33cl bottle from Être Gourmet website @ home - BBE: 2010 (2012-371)

Note: GUSHER warning!

Cloudy red brown beer, big aery off-white head, unstable. Aroma: oranges, very fruity, sugary, bit musty. MF: low to no carbon, medium body, very creamy soft texture. Taste: bit sweet, orange, ice cream, vanilla, some spices, cloves, coriander, more vanilla. Aftertaste: sweet dough, cinnamon. Not bad at all! And yeah, I know, it's probably because of the age, but hey, who cares, right?
