Bottle 330ml. @ home.[ With black label ]. Clear with tiny sized body particles, a medium to dark amber brown colour with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, quick - fully diminishing, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, moderate to heavy yeasty, dark berry, raisin, plum. Flavour is moderate to heay sweet and bitter with a long duration, sharp raisin - salty licorice, candy sugar, light funky, chocolate notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, but feel is fizzy, finish feel is light alcoholic. Very good together with cheese. [20120108]

33cl.

Bottle, courtesy of Joes. Lightly hazy yellow color, average sized white head. Smells weird, some sweetness, yeast, cheese. Just not good. Taste cheese as well. Don’t like it. Carbo medium, body medium.

Huge, collapsing yellowish head over slightly hazed, orange-golden beer. Pharmaceutical, bit sulphury nose, spiced with... fennel, aniseed, carraway...? Sharp, aggressive menthol/aniseed flavour; citruspeel (especially retronasal). Sharp, near astringent MF, accentuated by the heavy carbonation. Bit oily texture underneath. Not my cuppa tea. The aggressive spicing seems to get milder in time, (or adaptation), but all the same, it’s definitely overdone, IMO.

33cl bottle, bb 11/2013, lot# 2502.
