Bottle @ Cafe Derat. Brown - ruby reddish colour, off-white head. Nose is dark fruits, caramel, quad-style aroma. Don’t get the coffee. Flavour is caramel, dark furits, very sweet, almost syrupy. Finish is stickly sweet.

Bottled @ cafe derat, medium sample. Slight hazy copper color, medium off-white head. Aroma of caramel, biscuit, bit spicy yeast, some raisin, bit earthy hops. Hardly any coffee, although the bottle promises quite some coffee and having tasted their quadrupel through a ’coffee-rocket’, I was expecting a lot of coffee. But nothing much of that. In taste, quite sweet, slight alcohol. Bit La Trappe Quadrupel like. Maybe a sweet cookie hint and slight sweet coffee note. Was expecting something different. 375 ml bottle. #544 to be precise. Pours a very dark brown with moderate head. Aromas of dill, wet wood and very light wine/bourbon. Flavors of raisins, light bourbon barrel, and sweet malts. Wow.

375 ml bottle. Pours a very dark brown withoderate head. Aromas of roasted malts, caramel and figs. Flavors of coffee, chalk, dried dark fruit, and roasted malts. Big.

330 ml bottle Pours a slightly cloudy yellow with moderate head Aromas of citrus, white pepper, coriander and floral notes Flavors of orange peals, coriander, sharp wheat and light floral. Very nice.

Clear dark brown beer, creamy beige head, little stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing int he glass. Aroma: alcohol, bit of vanilla, fruity, sugary, dried fruits. MF: lots of carbon, medium body. Taste: lots of alcohol, bit sour, overripe banana, bitter, caramel, dried fruits, bourbon, sour touch, more alcohol. Aftertaste: some vanilla, bitter, chocolate, sourish, bourbon, alcohol, bit hoppy, banana, red berries.

A dark brown beer with a medium and beige head. The nose of strong dark fruits and prune, both of them are there also as a fresh mode. Some sweet berries, yeast and bananas, strenght of alcohol. Taste of strong dark fruits, raisins, not heavy, lots of herbs in the end that dries the mouth. Strong taste. Almos full bodied, lightening by high carbonation. Quite simple but also balanced. Good beer.

Hazy brown. Aroma has malts, light caramel, light coffee. The coffee flavour is there but is mellow, served with milk and sugar. Warming alcohol. Nice but I expected more considering this brewer, fancy bottle, high price.

Bottle from De Hopduvel. Dark brown colour, beige foam. Aroma of roasted malts with lots of peated whisky. Wonderfull smoky whisky charcater. If you like Islay whisky, you will like this beer. Very very good!

Bottle: Poured a deep dark brown to almost black, huge tan head. Strong fermented fruit and caramel mix hits the nose. Taste is large strong alcohol and fruit burn with loads of sweet malts in the back. Sticky finish to the tongue.
