For starters, this beer looks lovely. Aroma of light malt, fruits, fresh hops. Flavour is light sweet with a moderate bitter finish. Refreshing and easily drinkable Belgian Ale, I like the use of hops here.

Bottle at home. Aroma of dark bready malt, nuts, raisins, hint of chocolate, some liuorice, some coffee. Flavour is medium sweet with a light bitter finish. Body is medium. A fine, well-balanced Doppelbock.

From bottle at Bier Xperience Steenwijk 2016. Aroma is big malty caramel, toffee, raisins, dried candied fruits. Flavour is sweet and slightly boozy. Body is medium to full. Not bad, not really my kind of beer, but has a nice rich fullness.

From bottle at Bier Xperience Steenwijk 2016. Aroma is huge overwhelming peat, sweetish malt, raisins, some notes of wood. Flavour is sweet and a bit boozy. Body is medium to full. Mainly peaty, not balanced at all, way too much peat for my taste. Prefer the base beer.
