An orange beer with a huge off-white head. The aroma is sweet yeasty with notes of honey. The flavor is sweet with notes of honey and yeast, leading up to a dry end, but the body is thin.

Brown color; big head. Dry aroma, some caramel, candi sugar, spices (nutmeg...), light roasted malt coffee and liquorice; light but interesting. The mouthfeel is really too thin, flows like water on the tongue; just caramel and roasted malt flavor. Roasted malt final bitterness.

Cloudy amber color. Good, malty barleywine, less interesting in the aroma; strong bitterness, light fruitness, caramel, light liquorice, sweet body. Very good, strong. Thanks Jacob (Lövenlund) for this fine beer.

Cloudy brown color, short head. Aroma of licorice, some roasted malts and nutmeg or clove. Taste is a bit watery though, spicy, roasted malty and yeasty. Nice balanced palate, though a bit watery again.

Slightly hazy orange color, thick off-white head. Aroma is sweet malty, fruity of melon and orange, honey. Spicy taste and sweet of honey, but nicely balanced, bit yeasty sometimes. Very nice palate, which is initially sweet, but ends up sharp tickling on the back of the tongue.

Rerate 2007: Last year it was already quite good. This year as well. Had it from tap at Arendsnest. Nice nut-malty taste, good bitterness, some coffee as well. Utrechts bokbierfestival 2005, from tap. The description i gave in the original rating was quite ok, but i think i more liked it this year, so the rating increases from 3.1 to 3.5. Original rating: Clear redbrown color, short frothy head. Fruity, malty aroma, roasted caramel. Roasted taste. Bitter sharp palate.
