Description

Bottle. Fruity, sweetish aroma. Seemingly clear, very dark brown colour. OK stable, light brown head. A mild porter, but quite flavourful. Nicely roasted aftertaste. The flavour is malty and a little sweet, and not very roasted until the aftertaste kicks in. Very nice considering ABV.

[In my version brewed by "De Proefbrouwerij" in Lochristi, Belgium at 9.3% ABV] A red-brown beer with an OK brown head. The aroma is sweet with primary notes of caramel, but also some herbs. The flavor is sweet with notes of herbs, caramel, and wood.

Draught. Very nice hop aroma. Dry hopped with some citric hop, I think. Clear, dark amber colour. Small head. Flavour is nice, but the hops get too much IMO. The hoppiness turns a bit sour after some sips. Nice carbonation. Smooth and swelling mouthfeel.

(Bottle 33 cl) In my version brewed by "De Proefbrouwerij" in Lochristi, Belgium at 9.3% ABV. Beautiful, dark mahogany with a warm, reddish glow and a creamy, beige head. Sweet aroma of roasted malt and dried fruits. Good, full body with plenty of roasted malt, caramel and overripe fruit. Lightly burned notes. Lovely. 030106

Goldena mber ale with a thin white head. Rosewater and fresh honey in aroma. Sweet honey commes out well in mouth, with treacle, candy sugar, but little hops. Again lighter bodied but good. May 1,2005 at 2nd KBC Festival, Den Bosch, NL.

Very dark ruby, firm tanned head. Lemony, hoppy aroma. Watery, lemony flavor. A bit sweetish, notes of chocolate. Not very porter-like.

A hazy orange beer with a nice orange head. The aroma is sweet hoppy with fruity notes of oranges. The flavor is sweet hoppy with a good warming fealing from the alcohol, and then a dry hoppy end. Almost American in the interpretation - nice.

Clear orange-amberish; head gone in seconds but lots of lace. Slightly smoked nose, Gelderse rookworst dark leaves. Some honey in the taste, and smoked as well. Nice, nowhere too sweet. Pinch of saltiness and sourness. Not sticky, but good body, long lasting mild-sweet aftertaste. Good honeybeer.

Corked bottle
Dark amber color. Strong aroma of fruits (raisins, crystallized fruits, orange peel), ginger and spices. Quite good malty flavor, still with some sweetness, but showing a very light infection.
