On tap @ ’t Arendsnest. Deep brown colour, creamy off-white head. Aroma of raisins, chocolate and deep roasted malts. Flavour is likewise with some caramel. The roasted flavours linger. This is just the way I like my bock!According to the bartender this year’s version was less good than last year, so I’m very curious how good this stuff can get.

A copper amber ale with a thin white head. Pleasant spiced cookie aroma, speculaas! Very nice. In mouth, a good mix of nutmeg, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, oily mouthfeel. Medium bodied. On tap at Arendnest, Nov. 2006.

Bottle: Poured a orange brown with a huge off white head, some lacing. Aroma is hops with some pine and malt. Nice mix of caramel malts and hops, little sweeter than i would have expected.

On tap at ‘t Arendsnest, Amsterdam.
Cloudy dark amber coloured, medium sized off-white head, fruity alcoholic nose. Sweet fruity orangey hoppy taste with notes of yeast and spices. Alcohol is very noticable, and the finish is dry hoppy alcoholic. 9.2%.

Bottled(330ml). -Dark brown almost black coloured, pale brown head, licorice nose. Roasted malts, dark fruits and coffee. Light smokey and a bit too sweet, watery palate and short bitterish finish. I’ve expected much more of this Porter.
