Description
Old Abbey Ales was founded in 2013 and brewed its first batch of beer at our Abbotsford facility in March of 2015. We have been crafting exceptional award-winning craft beer since that time. At Old Abbey Ales our award-winning Head Brew Master, skillfully crafts each small batch of beer by hand. This produces what we believe, are some of the finest beers in the market. As an artistic crafter, our Brewmaster, Steve is always looking to create new beers with the most unique, freshest and finest ingredients he can source to purchase locally. We take pride in supporting our local farmers and strive to support our local economy.

Pale blond color, clean. Dry, with some wheat touch, but overall too simple.

Blond color. The coffee is the most evident, in the aroma, the hazelnut balances it in the flavor, and the vanilla and coffee participate to the final.
I’m not in favour of infusions, but this is mastered.

Black color with tan head. Strong aroma of roasted malts and liquorice. Sweet roasted malt body, dark chocolate, never too roasty, and with a potent resiny hopping; some vanilla in the final.
Excellent.

Cloudy blond color. Aroma of brown ripe banana. Off dry mouthfeel, strong wheat flavor, probably also strong yeast, as there is an evident astringency, a bit muddy, and fruity; the hop seems to give some reason and fruit.
Not bad, but a bit too dirty.

Blond color. This yeast brought an infinite level of fruitiness to aroma and flavor; it’s moderately sour, very drinkable. A lot of character.

Dark amber color, clean. Caramel brew, moderately sweet, with a light coffee touch in the finish with light fruity esters. Not the Porter I expected, but a nice beer.

Dark blond color, clean. The aroma is a bit footy. Malt flavor, moderate sweetness; the hops are resiny, lightly fruity; it has a cheesy and buttery touch too.
This one doesn’t seem achieved, it’s flawed, but it’s strong and not bad.

Hazy blond color. Light sweetness, mild sourness, and mild apricot flavour.
This beer is wisely brewed, not my favorite style, but in its category it’s a star.

Amber color, clean, with compact head. Aroma of grainy malts. Smooth mouthfeel, there is some residual sweetness, grainy malts, some caramel, and light fruity esters to complement.

Lighter, drier and wheaty-er version of the Brett Sour, but with the same great fruity results from this yeast. Lightly funky too.
Light and refreshing.
Great.
