(Can) Pours clear golden with good dense long-lasting white head. Lovely aroma of pine and orange. Medium body with plenty of soft carbonation. Great taste. There’s hoppy bitterness from start to finish. And it is very nicely balanced with a rich light caramel sweetness. And the orange citrus notes break through now and then. There’s a bit of alcohol bite too. Excellent beer.

500ml bottle, aged 18 months or so I think. Pours black wth a big tan honeycomb head. Chocolate, big sweet cocoa, coffee, plum, liquorice, almost like a ginger loaf spicy molasses thing. Good body. Excellent.

On tap at the Chamberlain. Pours dark ruby brown. Cinnamon, toffee, booze, strawberry, sweet strawberry liqueur, pepper, biscuit. Good body. Pretty strange, but not unpleasant.

Pint on tap at Basement Brewhouse, Bankstown. Bright brown beer with a thin white head. Good lacing. Nose full of biscuity malt and caramel. Lightly bitter with some fruit. Finish is more biscuity malt with a light lingering bitterness. Nice beer, real easy drinking but not very bitter.

Clear dark brown beer, small dense creamy beige head, pretty stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: very roasted, bit smoky, campfire, coffee, bit malty, some cow fodder. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: very malty start, roasted, very bitter, coffee. Aftertaste: very bitter, roasted, campfire, bitter coffee, not very impressive.
