Copper colour, off-white head. Nose is bready, biscuity grains, faint bitterness. In taste it follows, with a pretty mellow bitter touch. Light body, average carbo, easy to drink.

Can from the lcbo. Dark copper pour, small off white head. Aroma is very malty, hints of marzipan, strong caramels and lots of sweet nuttiness. Hope are mild and a little grassy. Finish is lightly bitter, sweet and nutty with sweet bready malts. More of a sweet brown ale than a bitter.

Whoa.... That’s alot of sweet apricot aroma! In your face and upfront, some caramel maltiness rounds it out in the background. The beer finish abruptly dry, and quite bitter, very unexpected. Over the top, quite sweet apricot jam and aroma, with a very bitter, dry finish.

Quite spicy, sugary sweet malts, light fruit, and some booze. Finish is lightly bitter, some spice, and especially licorice come through. Quite malty, no hops, subtle fruity, boozy malts. Reminds of an english strong, not an american.

Typical marzen..... Dark amber pour, slightly hazy, straw and hay aroma, with some subtle grass. Finish is slightly maltier than expected, subtle caramel and brown sugar.

500ml bottle from a black Creek mixed four pack. Clear gold pour, small white head. A nice malty aroma, good cereals, with some subtle fruitiness. No apple I find I get alot in cream ales. It’s a nice blend of a lager and ale, now pretty basic versions of both, but it’s a nice example of the style.

Clear copper pour with a medium white head. Aroma is a little Nutty and medicinal. Some non descript herbs, and some sweet, bready malts. I can’t say I’m tasting lemon balm, just some random fruitiness. Meh.

found this rating in my backlog.
Another unremarkable, but not awful offering from black creek. It’s well made, but its boring. Light spices, cinnamon, cloves, sweet pumpkin. medium bitterness, mineral, spicy finish.

Solid but not over powering roast, light hops, mild coffee, and a bit of soy. Creamy mouth feel, soft carb. The cereals comes through in the finish, nice roast, and light bitterness. A really nice solid stout.
