Holy hell, I gotta give it to these guys for finally putting a good one through. Pours kind of reddish brown, quickly dead head. Pretty high carbonation. Smells of roast malt, tastes smoked, hoppy and even some coffee dark. A nice, powerful musk hangs around in the air inside my throat for a protracted time after a sip. Bottle.

Pretty decent little beer. Probably the best on the Black Creek line I’ve had so far. Smells hoppy, bitter. Palate carries out for a while. Amber colour. There’s a little citrus as well. Some florals in the smell. Bottle.

Hell, this is ungodly sweet at the outset. Syrupy in taste and consistency. Theres some hops bitterness at the end, some roast malt. Really not that difeerent from their stout if memory serves. Bottle.

Third brew from this brewery that I get from the LCBO. Pours a clean dark amber colour with a foamy light beige head. Average retention, but decent lacing. Great nose that I did not expect (being a brown ale). Coffee and roasted malt with hints of nuts at first. Then, some fruits and butterscotch. Silky wet mouthfeel with a medium-light body. Again but milder, roasted malts and nutty with notes of toasts. Very light hop appears in the finish (tasting like apples) to balance things. Quite a nice easy-drinking brown ale (and I am not a big fan of this style - but I do enjoy the nuttiness in beers).

Pours black, thick consistency. Head all but dies after a meager existence. There’s an above average level of nutty bitterness on this but it’s kind of one-dimensional. Bottle

Somewhere is Canada: Pours a blackish colour with a quickly dissipating head that leaves lacing. Aroma is smoky, chocolate, and roasted malts. Taste is somewhat similar. Nice malt profile. Finish is kind of milky and not to my liking, but other than that, this is ok stuff. Significantly better than their stout I think.

Canada: Pours a plenty nice dark brown with a whie head. Aroma is of something akin to sour milk and smoke. Taste is also similar to in most regards. Thin and unappetizing. I don’t think that this is skunked, I just think that it is bad. I don’t like to say this, but I think I would rather drink Coors.

It seems to be easy to get a stout that looks good, and this one does, with a solid head and jet-black body. The aroma, however, is dirty axle grease and cigarette butts, just all the wrong smells coming off the top of this thing. The flavour is much the same - ash. Like someone dumped an ashtray in my beer, my watery beer. I am generally a huge fan of stouts, and I’m amazed that someone has in fact made a stout that will end up in a drain pour!

Thyis porter poured a deep, dark red colour with a creamy, tan coloured head. Scents include ripe fruit, coffee, cocoa and roasted malts. First sip was smooth and slightly watery with flavours of coffee, burnt malt and a little cocoa. Finish is roasted with light hopp flavour.
