500ml bottle - Pours lightly hazy yellow with a medium sized head that quickly fades to thin, then hangs around awhile. The aroma is skunky corn and some light hops. The flavor is mostly sweet corn and again has a touch of hops. It’s on the thin and watery side, though not as bad as some pale lagers. This is an old bottle, so I’m trying not to be too hard on it, but it looks like from the average ratings here that my impressions aren’t far off.

For a pale lager, this brew is quite distinctive. The color was lighter than expected with a thin yet long lasting head. The aroma was a very pronounced and marvelous molasses. The taste was much the same, with little variation, although the grains show through toward the end. Other ratings seem to be all over the place on this one. I’d say it is excellent for the genre, but perhaps not everyone’s favorite. It certainly is not worse than Budweiser as some might suggest.

Bottle from the Cowley Road (Dodgy Deli). pale golden head that lasted throughout a sweet aroma, much too sweet tasting, soft edges to this and not that great really.

500 ml Bottle. Aroma was pure Budweiser to me. Taste, fortunately has a bit more smoothness to it. Nothing offensive in this one, not much flavor either. Weird factor of Kenya probably give this a couple of points for me. WARNING - DO NOT LET THIS BEER WARM UP.

Half-liter bottle. Yes, I bought just to cross off another country. Yes, it is urine coloured, a slightly hazy yellow, under a rocky head. Smell is corny, but that’s really the worst of it. Taste is mostly barley pop. Corny again, a bit too sweet. A pinch of bitterness rescues this from failure. Some dregs in the bottle. It’s a novelty beer.

[Bottled] Pale golden, near no head. Neutral aroma. Obvious flavour from corn and paper. Sweet and mellow, and only containing off-flavours derived from adjuncts. No bitterness.
