Wow. I’ve never seen a beer this colorless. Light fruity aroma. Crisp and refreshing. Flavor isn’t ofensive, but thats about it. Some malts, sweetness, and a touch of orange. Thin body. This beer gave me everything I thought it would. Boring flavor, but I get a tick mark in my stats (woohoo!), and an interesting story on the bottle.

12 oz. bottle. Clean pale malt aroma, seems a bit dusty, and very, very light grassy hop. Pale brassy gold color with a white head that quickly diminished. Medium body; mild, sort of fizzy, carbonation. The flavor is light sweet malt, with some non-grassy, only slightly bitter hop. But in the finish the malt goes a bit veg, and the hop goes a bit bitter. Rather dry finish. Overall the mouth stood up and took notice.

Bottle. (as Malt Lager) Clear, a bit pale golden pour, with a white head. Malty aroma with some butterscotch and a fruity hint. Butterscotch and fruit notes in the flavor. Medium to thin body, and a relatively bitter finish. Decent but boring, thin, but not bad. (070625)

330ml bottle. Pale straw with a thick white head that rapidly fades; typical malty aroma; sweet and malty flavour, quite robust and similar to the Eastern European lager style; finish is dry with some citrus and spice - quite complex, and unexpected.

500ml bottle. Pale golden body with a white head. Weak malt aroma. Flavor is a bit locked up malty. Difficult to explain, but if you imagine a dash of malt laying inside a bread bin of metal together with some dry old bread. The beer is rather refreshing, but the malt flavor itself isn’t too nice. Short aftertaste.

500 ml bottle. Pale golden body with a small white head. Vague malt aroma. Flavor has a light refreshing malt and hop character. It’s actually quite harmonic in it’s weak style. I tasted this beer first time at the Airport in Nairobi a few years ago, and it felt a lot better then than home again under a critical séance in Gunnfryd’s flat.

A pleasant surprise here. Certainly one of the best pale lagers I have ever had. Surprisingly malty and no perceivable adjuncts. Considerable carbonation in this clean, golden beer. Crisp finish. Refreshing and what a pale lager should be. Top of its class.
