Description
Brouwerij Vanuxeem bestaat sinds 1906 en brouwde uiteenlopende bieren. In 1966 werd de productie echter stilgezet en wordt de firma voortgezet als distributiebedrijf. In 1986, het jaar van het bier, startte Vanuxeem terug met het op de markt brengen van bier - zij het niet meer ter plaatse gebrouwen – en werd het eerste Queue de Charrue-bier gelanceerd.

Fun fact: De naam “Queue de Charrue” is een letterlijke Franse vertaling van de naam van de gemeente waar de brouwerij is gevestigd: Ploegsteert (queue = staart en charrue = ploeg).

Dobre i ładnie wyglądające piwo w pokalu. Pomarańczowo-burzsztynowa barwa i odcienie. Piana spora i się zaznacza na szkle. Aromat toffi ale lekki, smak karmelowy i średnio intensywny

Golden with a big white head. Fruity and spicy, yeasty aroma with a touch of solvent-y alcohol. Sweet malty and fruity flavour with a heavy solvent note

Bottle @ Odense Tasting, November 2012. Pours cloudy dark golden with a egg white head. Yeast, fruit and grain. Fruity and dry. Medium bodied. A little alcoholic.

Clear reddish brown colour, beige head. Belgian oud bruin aroma, light sweet, sour notes, malts, caramel, red fruit and wood. Light sweet flavour, light sour touch, vanilla and wood. Finish caramel, light wood and pronounced red fruits.

Bottle @ Really late Summer Tasting Ulfborg, 2012. Pours clear golden with a small white head. Baking yeast, a bit of dust, dough and sweet caramel. A bit of alcohol. Full bodied.

Huge, somewhat fluffy yellowish head over well-carbonated, clear copperish-golden beer. Initially bit creamy nose, very discreet; later more pungent grassy-weedy notes. Soggy, dough-like malt taste, slightly toasted. Unappetizing. Certain, unpleasant stickyness; light to medium bodied, somewhat oily. Certain mineral water quality. Beerfactory Du Bocq at its worst. I hate myself writing it, but it’s just worth a tick.
