Description

Bouteille: Golden, clear, lively carbonation, stable big creamy white head, moderate sweet herbal-fruity nose, supported by sherry-like undertones; moderate to solid sweet-bitter flavour and medium to full bodied; sweetish-vinous finish with a slight alcohol burn. Nice brew…

Bottle shared with Joes, Dutchdrebus, Ansjelaah and Martinus. A bit unclear yellow color, small white head. Smell malts, butter, yeast, cardboard. Taste malts, some herbs or spices, yeasty. A bit fizzy carbonation, average body.

Medium offwhite head. Clear deep yellow body. Fruity spicy herbal aroma with cardamom notes. Dry fruity herbal cardamom taste with coriander notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dry-sweet spicy coriander and seeds of paradise aftertaste with herbal fruity notes. Full of flavour, but drinkable even so. (0.33l bottle at Charlie’s Bar, Montpellier.)

Bottle @ home shared with Dutchdrebus. Clear dark red color, virtually no head. Smell and taste sourish, sourish fruits. Not a lot more there actually. Not bad, not very good. A decent flemish oud bruin I think, but not my kind of beer.

Dark red/brown, white head. Good and refreshing beer. Well balanced between sweet (maybe a little bit too sweet), sour and bitter. Fruity aroma, wood, balsamico vinegar, and some bitterness. Good example of the style.

These “Queue de Charrue” brews are quite confusing seeing as they all come from different breweries. 33 cl. bottle @ home from Willems. Pours clear golden / amber, vanishing white head. Nose is odd, overly sweet BE yeast, rotting fruits, hay, light metal, something off sour, alcohol, not too nice. Taste is industrial alcohol, bitter esters, chemical yeast, spices, lightly burning, nasty cheap high ABV hooch, medicinal, spices,… Overly carbonated, nasty stuff.
