Poured from a 2024 vintage 16 oz can.
Aroma is full of chocolate and roast notes with some lighter molasses and coffee notes. Fairly strong cinnamon notes with lighter vanilla l. Light bourbon and alcohol notes with hints of oak..
Pours jet black with a medium sized, thick, dark mocha head that recedes steadily to a small film that lingers on the edges. Light lacing and long legs.
Flavor is fairly sweet with lots of chocolate and roast notes. Lighter molasses, dark caramel and burnt sugar notes. Medium bitterness and medium alcohol notes. Lots of cinnamon and coffee notes with lighter vanilla. the cinnamon is very strong upfront but the coffee lingers in the finish. Light bourbon and oak notes.
Mouthfeel is full bodied and a bit sticky with medium low carbonation. Low astringency and medium low alcohol warmth.
Overall, a solid BA speedway stout. I don't love cinnamon and wish the vanilla was stronger, but some of that may be an issue with the age of the can. The coffee notes are nice as they linger in the finish.

US Pint can, my third of the set and so far my least favourite. Black bodied, tanned roof, slick and rich like the others, but this was a sweetness too far for me, the vanilla and pecans blending into the chocolate just took it over the edge on the sickly sweet scale for my palate. Still an interesting and intriguing beer though.

US Pint can on 14th April 2026, second can of the series for me. Very black body, tanned roof. Slick and rich feel to this Apple Pie, liked the cinnamon and apple flavour, base beer obviously has the coffee element nailed. The four pack was obtained from a Baron's Market (in Temecula).

Black pour. Thin tan foam around the rim. Scattered lace. Sweet fruit flavor on the front. Sour on the palate. Great amount of coconut flavoring.

Apple, varnished wood aroma. Black, thin tan head. Espresso, charred oak, fake apple overtones. Full body, easy carbonation , warm. Not a fan of fruited stouts, and this was an unfortunate example of my disdain.

I can say that this will be my first banana flavored imperial stout. Let us see how that goes. Pint can obtained in the Alesmith four-pack mix from a retailer in the Chicago area. My Great Heights snifter receives the pour and it is a fully dark brown liquid topped with a similarly dark brown head that quickly subsides. I smell considerable banana and a bit of grain. I take a drink and will take that over the nose. Bitter chocolate, banana, bread dough, pecans, roasty malts and enough caramel to register. An unusual imperial stout but I find it interesting.

My first of the 2026 Speedway Pie series, US Pint can (in a mixed pack of four) obtained from a Baron's Market in Temecula. Drank as a nightcap with Matt (my Son In Law) on 11th April 2026. He really is a wimp when it comes to beer drinking, I had about 80% of the can. Anyway it's a very dark pour, tanned roof with a huge banana aroma. Boozy banana taste with a vanilla sweetness alongside the banana taste. Interesting and I'm looking forward to the other three in the series. Matt, not so much, although he likes the Porsche 911 labelling.

Dark brown, inky, no head. Refined aroma with bourbon, dark sugars. Soft body. The vanilla and coffee go very well together here. This came together wonderfully, the coffee character dropping off from the level of the base beer and bringing everything together.
