Description
Real cider and perry from the county of Herefordshire in England.

Oliver's make a selection of fine Herefordshire ciders and perries with an emphasis on "balance" and "character" coupled with "drinkability".

Based around the spontaneous ferment of selected varieties of cider apple and perry pear from fruit grown in Herefordshire and the surrounding 3 Counties orchards.

Nominally referred to as "minimal intervention", we strive to "take what the fruit gives", respecting the great heritage and traditions of the past but with an eye to innovating for the future. What that really means is we mill and press great fruit, expose the juice to marauding and hungry wild yeasts and then for our part blend and bottle the resulting ferments.

Bottle from the Perry edition of the Press seasonal box. Few weeks of shelf time then a few more weeks of chill to try & drop sediment.

Half hazy, pale gold, active soda head.
Soap & twang, sweet apple+ cucumber, cider vinegar nose.
Spritzy, soapy, gently tangy & floral pear. Bittersharp leaning sweet. Ginger ale feels. Moderate farm funk that doesn't mesh perfectly with something delicate like this. I want it drier or with less vinegar.
Sulfite headache.

Okay. Couldn't finish it. I drink most of these bottles solo.

Bag-in-a-box at Ealing Beer Fest 25. Opaque lightest gold. Aroma is keeping it on the down low... apple. Sweet apple wot a sour ehde. Sugary streak. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Flat carbonation. Long dry slightly astringent finish. Hmm.
