Pale yellow hazy color, firm small creamy white head, some lace. Lemon, rubber and wheat in the light nose. Crisply carbonated. Light bodied - a bit of coriander, some lemon and wheat. Simple witbier - quite refreshing uninteresting summer drink.

Clear amber color, tight white head, some lace. Nose has toffee, smoked ham (!) and grassy hops. Malty with light toffee sweetness, rye, smoke, finishing to bitterish hops. Unbalanced and not very enjoyable.

Draught at Den Tatoverede Enke, Copenhagen. Deep brown colour. Moderate aroma of malts, caramel and brown sugar, not unpleasant. Flavour is malty sweet with spices, brown sugar notes.

(Bottle 75 cl) 1,4% ABV in my version. Deep brown colour with a red glow. Tall cola-like head that bubbles away in no time. Saccharine added, but actually this only has a discreet sweetness making it both quenching and easy to drink. Only problem is, that it really hasn’t got much flavour at all. 020802

(Bottle 25 cl) I’ve had the "pleasure" of the ordinary "Haacht Star" before - now I can hardly wait for this darker version. Light brown, clear and filtered with a tiny white head. No body of course, no malt and only a vague hint of hops. On the positive side I have to add that this doesn’t really have any unpleasant tang from the added saccharine. Based on unmalted cereals - also colour, anti-oxidants and stabilizers added. A chemical mess. 170999

Hazy light golden ale with a thin big bubbled head, collapsing quickly. Sweet honey malt with notes of orange peels. Sweet malt in mouth, with Belgian hops, coriander and oranges. Medium bodied. Bought at Delhaize.
