Bierbrouwerij De Beyerd

De koperen brouwketels en open gistkuipen geven zowel de brouwerij als het hiermee verbonden restaurant een bijzonder nostalgische sfeer. Achter de brouwzaal ligt de lagerkelder die aanzienlijk moderner aandoet.

330ml bottle [as Speciaal Tripel]. Slightly cloudy, orangey golden colour with small toaverage, thick, creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Sweet-ish, pale and wheaty malty as well as yeasty fruity aroma, hints of banana, a touch of apricot. Taste is sweet-ish, pale and wheaty malty, slightly phenolic, yeasty fruity, hints of banana and apricot, a touch of honey, minimally alcoholic interludes. Slightly creamy texture, smooth and soft, minimally cloying palate, medium to fine, mildly prickly carbonation. Rather monotonous, a tad too sweet and alcoholic - OK.

Clear and pale blond with fluffy head. Flavour has a rounded floral hop note to start with. Some yellow tropical fruit comes through subtly in the finish. Solid Blond with a little bit of hop complexity

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Rovin, Dongen. Hazy amber with a white head and a massive amount of yeast and yeast clumps. Could be because of the BBD of Jan 2019 or maybe due to the original 3 Hoefijzers yeast? It's unsightly but nothin serious taste wise luckily. Aroma is light caramel with a nice hoppy touch. Taste is sweet with a light sour touch. Long bitter finish. Although slightly deteriorated due to its age it's still drinkable and even enjoyable

Tap in brewpub. Blonde. Very smooth beer with bits of caramel. Hops added, just enough to create some bite, without interfering with the drinkability. Well balanced beer.

large bottle. Caramel and pear in the aroma and flavor. Sweetish, dusty, just hints of roasted malt.Jjust a bit thin. Not unpleasant, but not really good.

Clear mahogany brown colour with thin head. Aroma and flavour have some sweet caramel malts and a little bit of sweet, spicy yeast.

Pours unclear blonde. Smell is banana, bit sweet. Taste is bit bitter, fresh, médium intense banana. Not as creamy as usual. Not much cloves. Not much aftertaste. Wheat is recognizable.

Draught at De Beyerd. Hazy golden color, full sized white head. Smell and taste malts, hops, a bit floral aroma, a bit metallic bitter flavor. Decent body and carbonation. Ok.
