Bierbrouwerij De Beyerd

De koperen brouwketels en open gistkuipen geven zowel de brouwerij als het hiermee verbonden restaurant een bijzonder nostalgische sfeer. Achter de brouwzaal ligt de lagerkelder die aanzienlijk moderner aandoet.

Bottle @ home. Orange to amber colour with a small white head. Smells malts and spices. Mostly malts though. Tastes malty, sweet, very slightly liquorice, very slightly juniper berry. Not a very distinct taste. Hard to say how it compares to the original or other beers in the style. Not very interesting though. Medium body, soft to medium carbo.

Copper colour with massive head. Aroma and flavour are plentiful in malt sweetness. There’s a background of fruity hops but it’s very light. Low bitterness.

Tap @ De Beyerd. Dark brown to black color with a dark red hue coming through when held into the light, medium to full sized off-white to beige head that lasts for quite a long time. Aroma is malts, lightly caramel, a slight underlying mix of liquorice with a slight earthyness and slight hint of brown candy sugar. Taste malts, caramalts, dark malts, brown candy sugar, light to moderately bitter. Quite pleasant.
