Description
Dat jongensdromen soms werkelijkheid worden, blijkt uit de realisatie van Brouwerij de Beyerd. Hiermee herstelt De Beyerd in 2004 een stukje verloren Bredase traditie. Waar in 1628 aan de Boschstraat brouwerij ‘De Drie Hoefijzers’ werd opgericht, is een kleine 400 jaar later het brouwers-ambacht terug in de straat. ‘Drie Hoefijzers Klassiek’ is dan ook het eerste bier dat hier volgens origineel recept gebrouwen wordt. Naast het Drie Hoefijzers brouwt de Beyerd ook verschillende bieren volgens eigen recept.

De koperen brouwketels en open gistkuipen geven zowel de brouwerij als het hiermee verbonden restaurant een bijzonder nostalgische sfeer. Achter de brouwzaal ligt de lagerkelder die aanzienlijk moderner aandoet.

Pours unclear blonde. Smell is banana, bit sweet. Taste is bit bitter, fresh, médium intense banana. Not as creamy as usual. Not much cloves. Not much aftertaste. Wheat is recognizable.

Pours clear, pale blonde. Médium, very creamy head. Smell is weak, bit malty. Taste is full, rather bitter, malty, clean, very crisp.

Draught at De Beyerd. Hazy golden color, full sized white head. Smell and taste malts, hops, a bit floral aroma, a bit metallic bitter flavor. Decent body and carbonation. Ok.

Dark blond colour with light haze. Aroma and flavour have some lime zest hoppiness. Finish is a little bit yeasty and refreshingly bitter.

Golden blond colour with lasting head. Aroma and flavour have a lot of sweet malts and some fruity esters. A little dryness in the finish.

Black with thin dark head. Aroma and flavour have a strong yeasty note. Dark roasted malts. Hop bitterness in the aftertaste. Agressive carbonation.

Hazy light copper colour with lasting head. The hop bitterness is quite rounded and this is closer to the English IPA style than the more modern fruity versions.

Clear deep chestnut brown beer, big creamy beige head, little stable, bit adhesive, leaving some lacing in the glass. Aroma: caramel malts, soft roast, hint of mocha, ripe banana. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: pretty roasted, lots of alcohol, sweet and sugary, bitter, coffee notes, some caramel. Aftertaste: alcohol, bit sourish, hoppy touch, bitter, roasted, coffee, caramel, bit sweet, dry finish, decent!

Very cloudy yellow beer, creamy dense yellowish head, pretty stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: sweetish, bubble gum, bit malty, grains, very faint. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: lots of sweet malts, ripe banana, bubble gum, some caramel. Aftertaste: more banana, malty, grains, yeasty, bit bland, sugary.
