Bottled at O’Hara’s Zagreb with Ribafish (huge thanks Marin & co!). Poured a misty amber/brown body with a small white head. Marmelade-like matly aroma. Not much different in the taste, malt, marmelade... actually... strawberry jam too--- thin too. Sweetish, and just vaguelly herbal. Love the label, but it just raises the gimmick level of a mediocre beer. Rerated... it’s even slightley chocolatey, much better than this, but still nothing special.

Bottle, 8%. Hazy dark yellow with small off-white head. Aroma is malty, fruit, hops, yeast, little funky, little brett and a little orange peel. Flavour is malt, fruit, hops, citrus, grapefruit, little brett, little dry, medium sweet, little peach, yeast and medium bitter.

Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Hazy golden with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel, bretty and moderate hoppy - oranges. Flavor is quite sweet and rather bitter. Very dry and rather bitter finish. 160115

Bottle. Hazy amber color, off white head. Aroma of vanilla, caramel. Taste has butterscotch, vanilla. Not bad.

This brew is a hazy pale orange color with a thin white head that dissipates quickly to an outer ring. Short strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrus, hops and malt. Light-bodied with flavors of herbal hops, citrus and biscuit malt. The finish is mildly bitter with a short citrusy hops aftertaste. Decent overall.

12oz bottle I got in the Locals Why The Hell Not BIF pours a clear orange with some frothy, lacing white head. Nose has some bruleed pineapple, candlewax, a little apple juice concentrate, over ripe papaya, guava smoothie, sorbet. Flavor is alright, sweet candy sugar, faint rum, mild spice, a little pepper, a little anise, apples, poached pear, a little riesling, brown sugar, super ripe pineapple, guava, a little bit of over ripe jack fruit, some rum, a little bourbon, some mild canned corn. Full bodied, sticky, boozy finish. I thought this would be a train wreck, but I actually really enjoyed this.

Red Brick HopLanta (US) - IPA - 6.7%

35 cl bottle, retail around 2.50€ BB 12/2014. Hazy copper color, thick short creamy offwhite to yellowish head, very fine creamy texture and plenty of lacing.
Hoppy nose already. Aroma: thick caramel malts, mild roast, brown sugar, spices, yeast and a wham of american hops. Taste is balanced prominent to the bitter end.Full bodied, soft, creamy texture very smooth, umami bitter finish. A slow sipper, interesting cross within IPA, Amber Ale and zwickel. Good.

Crisp and slightly hazy golden coloured body with a very thin, half a centimetre tall pure white head. Aroma of very subdued malt, wheat, grass and a ton of corn - this smells like cornbread with some hints of bubble gum and lemons. Super light-bodied; Strong lemon and grassy flavours up front show an almost belgian white or wheat ale flavour coupled with some spicey yeast highlights make it more interesting, but all super light and thin. Aftertaste shows some bitterness from the yeast, plus a bit of the spices a well. Overall, a very light and subdued beer with a lot of flavour but no deep complexity or pungency, all with a super light and easily approachable body and taste - nice. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Total Wine in Cary, North Carolina on 02-August-2014 for US$1,99 sampled at home in Washington on 16-November-2014.

Red Brick Porter (US) - Porter . 7.7% 3.8/5

35 cl bottle. Dark color, almost blak, burgundy in see-thru, clear. Thick rocky brownish head, decent lacing, toasted nose. Aroma is toasted malts, coffee and chocolate with burnt wood. Taste is moderately bitter, medium long smoky finish. Low carbonation, medium to full bodied, creamy texture, well hidden alcohol. Solid and tasty porter.

Clear dark brown pour with little head of any kind. Some sediment in the bottle. Aroma of dark caramel, alcohol, raisins, molasses. The flavor follows the aroma. sweet complex, improving as it warms. Decent cold weather sipper.
