750ml bottle. Hazy orangey amber colour with a small frothy white head. Intense brett aroma, accompanied by decent oak, spice and fruit notes. Taste is also ruled by brett, spices like coriander, clove, orange zest remain in background. Complex, with a variety of aromas, but for me with too much emphasize on the brett.

Bottle shared by Mike12da. Funky, tart, citrus, barnyard nose. Cat piss too. Very pale gold, glowing, with thin lace. Flavors of straw, orange and peel, minerals, white pepper. It was somehow mellower with the yeast added. A strange beast, but very interesting and good. This should be categorized as a wild ale, though.

Bottle. Hazy golden yellow color, large fluffy white head. Aroma of straw, hay, moderate barnyard, black pepper. Taste starts a bit sweet, then straw and funk, then dry and slightly sour finish. Excellent.

Bottle. Pours slightly hazy golden with a white head. Fruity aroma with grapefruit, citrus and brett. Lightly sweet and fruity with good bitterness. Dry and bitter finish with citric notes. Refreshing and surprisingly nice. Shared a bottle with Alexgc at Ørsted Ølbar (2012-04-06)

Bought this beer for a tasting, but we never got around to opening it - do I save if for another tasting? - I ponder this for a bit - but, nah...it’s Easter so I guess I can open something special (ie. expensive) - sure, I’m an atheist that hasn’t believed in Jesus since the 7th grade, but fuck it - anyway, the beer pours a turbid gold with a fluffy, thick, lasting lace - nose is spicy and zesty hops, moderate chard character, some Brett notes of pineapple and herbal tones of chamomile, rose hips, along with some mango and tart apple - a really lovely aroma - moderate, mildly creamy carbonation - flavor is sweet up front, with some mango and pineapple - spicy hops and lightly peppery phenols rise up through the middle - strong chard notes rise and fall on the tail end, leaving behind a moderately dry finish swimming with complex notes of dry Brett earthiness, white pepper, sage, melon - a tad too much alcohol heat in the finish, but this is otherwise a very lovely beer - happy zombie Jesus day!

750 ml corked and caged bottle. Aroma is catboxy, citrus peel. Pours a slightly hazy gold with a large pillowy white head that leaves some nice lacework. Taste has a pronounced bitterness with an expected (obviously) brett influence. Carbonation is high, body is medium. This seems like the least of all the Anchorage beers I’ve tried so far, but who knows how much better it would be after a spell in the cellar.

750 ml corked and caged bottle. Aroma is dusty old brett, apple, pineapple, Pours hazy yellow with a medium dissipating white head. Taste starts out sweet but quickly turns bitter and finishes bitter, dry and slightly tart. Carbonation is average, body is medium. Good, but its resemblance to authentic Belgian Tripels is pretty minimal.

75 cl bottle @ olio. Batch #1, 08/2011
Aroma is sour with earthy and some floral notes. Also hints of citrus. Flavour is rather strong on bretta-style sour aromas. Also some floral and spicy notes. The wine can be observed here, but it is more close to a white than red wine. Closer to a Sour or Wild Ale than Saison. Good.

750ml bottle
Pours dark orange with a large sticky and foamy white head. Tart, fruity aroma with notes of spices, malts and earthy notes. Taste is fruity with some tart notes and hints of spices and malts. Finish is slightly tart and bitter. Not your typical saison, but still quite tasty one.

Refrigerated bottle compliments of JoePeesie, poured into a shaker. Pours clear light golden with big fuffly white head. Pretty good head, medium body, medium carbonation, and grapefruit aroma. Taste is grapefruit, coriander, pepper, some oak, some funk, some orange, and finishes dry bitter hop. Pretty good, but not a favorite.
