Bottle: Poured a deep brown color beer with a medium size foamy head with OK retention and not much lacing. Aroma of light smoky notes with some caramelized sugar and light grainy notes is OK. Taste is a mix of caramelized malt with dry smoky notes, very little residual sugar notes and some grainy malt notes. Body si full with low carbonation. Interesting and without being very knowledgeable about the style I would say this example lacks some cohesion and balance.

Pretty cloudy orange beer, small irregular creamy off-white head, unstable, little adhesive. Aroma: bit yeasty, some banana, citrus, bit sourish. MF: soft carbon, medium to full body. Taste: bitter start, yeasty, citrus, tropical fruits, little sweet, grapefruit, floral. Aftertaste: very bitter, citrus, tropical fruits, bit sour, alcohol, sweet touch, pineapple, more grapefruit.

Bottle: Poured a cloudy orange color ale with a large off-white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of juicy hops with nice floral citrusy notes and light grapefruit notes. Taste is also a mix of huge juicy hops notes of citrus with some grapefruit notes and some residual sugar notes with light bitterness. Body is full with limited filtration and good carbonation. Another superb IPA from a fine brewery.

Quel délice! La complexité est phénoménale et j’ai bien hâte de la goûter à nouveau après 1 an ou 2 en cave... Il y a présence marquée de tourbe et de chêne, accompagnés d’une belle chaleur en bouche. La buvabilité est faible mais je l’ai vraiment appréciée.

An orange amber ale with a thick frothy lacing white head. In aroma, nice mix of fruity malt with citrusy floral hops, grapefruit pulp, resinous and piney, very nice. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity malt with loads of tropical fruits, citrus pulp, resinous and piney hops, alcohol warmth, light curacao, very nice. On tap at Festibière de Gatineau hiver 2017.

Bouteille 750ml. Couleur acajou foncé opaque, mousse moka fuyante laissant un anneau sur les parois du verre. Arôme de malt, fumé, fruits foncés, tourbe. Goût de malt grillé, tourbé, fruits foncés, café subtil, léger sucre, cacao. Carbonatation faible, corps moyen-dense.

Can: Poured a deep blonde color ale with a nice pure white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of tropical hops notes with some citrusy notes and residual sugar notes. Taste is a solid mix between sweet Belgian style malt notes with light tropical fruit notes and light citrusy hops and limited bitterness. Body is about average with good carbonation with no apparent alcohol. Another enjoyable creation from this fine new brewer.

Can: Poured a hazy beige/yellow color ale with a nice large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of fresh grapefruit notes with some citrusy hops notes and light residual sugar notes. Taste is an incredible punch of grapefruit with nice floral citrusy notes and light bitterness also noticeable. Body is full with good carbonation. I loved the citrusy notes of the hops and the balanced level of bitterness.
