Olfactif à dominance tropicale avec notes de melon au miel et de mangue, mais relevant aussi des accents citriques de pamplemousse et de citron.
Liquide jaune et flou, couvert d’une mousse d’épaisseur moyenne, semi crémeuse et assez tenace.
En bouche, c’est également assez tropical avec de la papaye et de la mangue ainsi que de la pêche.
Les agrumes y sont plus discrets mais on y note néanmoins un peu de pamplemousse.
Le malt nous apporte une base de pain sucré.
Présence de zeste d’agrumes mais sans que ce dernier ne prenne une place prépondérante.
Somme toute une NEIPA honnête et bien ficelée sans qu’elle soit dans la catégorie exceptionnelle.

Port and red wine largely dominate an aromatic palette where we also note black fruits but in very subtle quantities.
A trickle of foam that descends quickly on the deep amber liquid with coppery reflections and almost brilliantly clear.
Vinous notes of port wine with a strong alcohol on the palate.
Very muted light caramel and black fruits.
Alcohol is very dominant and supplants most of the elements of Dubbel.
Quite moderately appreciated !

Porto et vin rouge dominent largement une palette aromatique où l’on relève également des fruits noirs mais en très subtile quantité.
Filet de mousse qui descend rapidement sur le liquide ambré profond aux reflets cuivrés et presque brillamment limpide.
Notes vineuses de porto avec un alcool fort en entrée de bouche.
Très en sourdine, on y retrouve un léger caramel et des fruits noirs.
L’alcool est très dominant et supplante la plupart des éléments de la Dubbel.
Assez moyennement appréciée !

Can @ home. Clear, dark brown body under a nice, foamy beige head. Aroma is malty with toffee and a nutty touch. Taste is smooth, dark malt, toffee, milk chocolate and balanced bitterness. Fine balanced body with smooth aftertaste. A nice classic, no nonsense brown ale, very smooth and food friendly.

Olfactif puissamment malté sur une base caramélisée enveloppée de Bourbon et offrant en complément des notes de biscuit et un fruité aux accents d’orange. Le liquide brun clair avec des reflets rougeâtres est bien voilé. La mousse d’épaisseur moyenne est assez tenace. Entrée de bouche fortement caramélisée et enrobée de Bourbon. Les houblons projettent discrètement des notes d’orange, d’ananas et de résine. L’équilibre se veut malté avec apport de houblons surtout au niveau du fruité et sans amertume trop intense. La fin de bouche combine alcool et amertume résineuse avec un apport sucré quand même appréciable. Un Barleywine bien Américain, fortement gouteux et tout à fait chaleureux. Bien apprécié ! Slightly hazed, dark copper colour with caramel-amber highlights. The head looks like a coffee head - frothy, lightly bubbled, warm-yellowish mocha-coloured. A ring is left, so some lacing is seen as it goes down. A little boozy in the nose with dark fruits and caramel notes. Hints of smoked barley eventually comes out. The mouthfeel is slick, mildly sticking, but with a nice drying finish. The dates and figs really lingers nicely with some blending bitterness and a slight warmth, as the alcohol is well-hidden in the mouth. A nice caramel malt base, but not overly sweet. A touch of raisins. This is going down very nicely for a Quad, with the balanced dark fruits.

Mildly hazed, peach-rosé coloured with a whitish head, fizzing away fairly quickly, leaving not much lace. Sour aromas with the lime juice blended with raspberry fruitiness. The taste is milder, watery, but the sourness is there to help with the raspberries leaving a touch of tart. The sour notes lingers. Wish it was a tad punchier in the mouth.

Jet lag has me drinking coffee beers… Milles Iles Espresso Kenyaaa 7.5% Coffee Baltic Porter Pitch black with roasty sweet coffee aroma and tan foam with leaves wispy lacing behind. Full bodied and smooth. Roasted coffee with acidity and sweetness. Tasty stuff.
