500 ml bottle. Almost hazelnut brown with dense fluffy head. Robusta coffee, lemon zest, grapefruit, cocoa, rubber, leather, roasted nuts, marzipan, bitter almonds, toffee. Hoppy zesty roasty bittersweetness. Medium to full bodied, oily texture, lively carbonated, dry roasty zesty hoppy bitter finish. Excellent!

A bottle from BierLaden, Berlin. Shared with little Dina and Fates_11. Amber. Malty, caramel and nuty aroma. Malty caramely flavour, some toasty notes, light bitterness. Good balance, Light body, soft carbonation, light finish.

On tap at Uerige, pours a clear dark amber with a medium beige head. Aroma brings out plenty of bready malt, toasted caramel, and pronounced bitterness. Flavour is very bitter, with a deep, dry bready malt body, not a trace of sweetness, and a sharp bitterness finish. Very pleasant classic alt that I'm surprised I never rated.

This is the top Sticke on UT. They amp up the ingredients and make it a tad stronger, and somehow it's a little less bitter than the original yet even better. Mmm! Brewed twice a year. Would love to try the Doppelsticke.
