Description
On the outskirts of Billund, just a stone's throw from the expansive Jutland heaths, lays Dansk Mjød. A traditional brewery which has brewed mead since 1994 on the basis of old recipes and with an uncompromising focus on quality and ingredients. It is the endless stories and myths about mead, which still inspire Dansk Mjød to create products that combine the ancient brew craft and tradition with a modern eye for quality and tastes.

Aus der Flasche im 2020-07 getrunken. Dieses goldig, trübe Ale erinnert stark an ein Abbey Tribel nur mit deutlicher Honignote. Und es ist recht lecker. Na dann Prost!

Strong smell of alcohol. This is a very sweet mead with strong apple and pure sugar taste with a warm finish

This mead is lightly sweet. Good color. High alcohol and some alcohol flavor

Bottle shared by Jeff, thanks! Pours a clear yellow with no head whatsoever. Aroma has sweet honey and a slight nail polish remover more. Flavor has sweet honey with a light oak and flora underlying.

Bottle @Højbjerg Tasting. Murky amber, no head. Apple, honey and cinnamon aroma. Warming apple ad honey flavour with nice cinnamon spice.

Bottle @ Højbjerg tasting. Medium head with medium duration. Color is hazy amber. Aroma and taste are sweet honey, cinnamon and other xmas spices, fruits and warming alcohol.

Pours dark amber with no head. Aroma of hibiscus, harsh notes. Taste has alcohol, dark honey notes. Palate has residual alcohol notes, flowery notes. Good.

From Randers Museum. Amber colour. Moderate honey and spicy aroma. Moderate honey flavor with strong cinnamon notes. Some ginger as well. Average finish. Creamy palate. A little too spicy.
