330ml bottle. Slightly murky, dark brown colour with ruby red glimmer and average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, beige head. Earthy, fruity aroma of red and dark berries, leafy hints of corresponding shrubs, some milk chocolate. Taste is bitter hoppy, fruity, notes of red and dark berries, covering the complete earthy, leafy, bitter and tart spectrum of corresponding parings, kernels and shrubs, some morello cherry as well, slightly grainy, milk chocolately basis. Slightly dirty, very British - very nice.

Clear golden colour, white head. Hoppy aroma, light funk, pineapple. Bitter hoppy flavour, tropical fruit. Fruity finish.

Bottle from Appellation Wines. Appearance - hazy golden amber with a decent fluffy head. Nose - grapefruit plus pith. Hint of something tropical. Taste - more grapefruit, more pith and plenty of hop resin. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry bitter finish. Overall - good but on the edge of being too bitter.

Bottle from Appellation Wines. Appearance - opaque black with a nicely proportioned fawn head. Nose - dark chocolate and a little hit of green from the hops. Taste - rich and creamy chocolate, somewhere between milk and dark. There’s some roast as well, perhaps a light astringent smokiness or liquorice on the dry male finish. Palate - rich medium to full bodied with a creamy texture and a bitter roasty finish, which is actually in the correct proportion. Overall - a well hopped porter, and possibly resembling a stout at that. It’s very good, whatever it is.

Bottle from Speciaal Bier Bodegraven, large sample. Dark color, virtually no head. Aroma is mainly peat and iodine from bunnahwhatever, slight dark chocolate and roast. Flavor can match the peat better with lots of milk chocolate and some cookie and roast. Bit dry in the finish. Too much barrel for me.

Share@GBBF 2015, Olympia, London - pours dark brown verging black with tan head. Dark roasted and sweet malty aroma and taste, with chocolate, some coffee, caramel, dark fruits, some nice hoppy nuances, roasted finish. Lovely.

An slightly orange beer, a head is blond and medium. Aroma has mild lychee, smooth tropical fruits, some black currants and citrusfruits. Taste has tropical fruits and some citrusfruits, nice and at least medium bitterness that has herbal notes. Some harsh notes in the taste. Body is just strong enough, moderate smoothness. Nice and aromatic, good bitterness.
