Established in 2015
Owner and brewer Kees Bubberman started his brewing career in 2007 at Emelisse, a small regional brewery in Kamperland, Zeeland. Within a couple of years Emelisse became a household name among craft breweries worldwide, thanks to the by British and American beer styles inspired ales, IPA's, strong porters, stouts that Kees Bubberman brewed. Never afraid of trying something new and relying on his experience as a restaurant chef he created more than 30 new beers, including an IPA with Earl Grey tea, barrel aged porters en stouts and strong porters and stouts with coffee. Kees was ahead of his time with experimental flavours like these.
In 2014 Kees Bubberman decided to start his own brewery in his hometown Middelburg. Thankful for the opportunities Emelisse gave him, he felt that it was time to go his own way. Brewery Kees! started in January 2015 and within a year his delicious IPA's, strong porters, Russian Imperial stouts and barrel aged barley wines, porters en stouts found their way in the (beer-)world.
Kees keeps on creating new beers and searching for new tastes, sometimes following and sometimes setting trends.

20th December 2025
Can. Hazy deep amber beer, small pale tan head. Smooth palate, mildly dry, decent fine minerally carbonation. Smooth malts, a tangy caramel and unsweet toffee. Herby mid. Plenty of brandy on the back end, nicely tempered by some oak induced vanilla. Ripe fruity esters on the back end. Interesting brew, could pass for a barrel aged dubbel or quad. Just that herby mid is the give away. Pretty drinkable.

0.33 l can from the brewery's web shop, best before December 2026. Very hazy, pale straw yellow with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sweetish, rather fruity, a little dank aroma of passion fruit, mango and orange. Slightly sweet, moderately bitter, fairly fruity and a bit dank taste of passion fruit, orange and mango, followed by a short, gently bitter finish. Medium body, gently effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Okay NEIPA.

Weicher, dunkel kräutriger Beginn, hohe Süffigkeit, der Alkohol ist nie erkennbar. Spritzig, harmonisch, gleichzeitig vollmundig, leichte Süße, intensiv. Cremig, würzig, gut. 10/11/11/11/8/11

Growler from The Star & Garter, Bromley. Nose is caramel cake, treacle toffee, cocoa, chocolate fudge. Taste is the same as above with a most notable bourbon hit coming through in the back end. Unsurprisingly throat warming. Very sweet with plenty of alcohol heat.

0.33 l can from the brewery's web shop, best before December 2028. Slightly hazy, very dark ruby with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, beige head. Sweetish-malty, slightly fruity and a bit spicy aroma of molasses, raisins, brown sugar and traces of cinnamon. Rather sweet, malty, moderately bitter, slightly roasty and gently boozy taste of molasses, caramel, dark chocolate, licorice, some raisins and hints of cinnamon, followed by a long, moderately bitter, gently warming finish. Full body, oily mouthfeel, almost flat. Delicious brew, great winter warmer.

Very deep red with a relatively thin tan head. Red wine notes erupt from the glass on initial pour before settling a bit into other notes. Chocolate, caramel, oak, roasted notes, earthy, molasses. Full bodied. The finish has toffee, deep ripe fruits, deeply toasted malt, and just a touch of burnt malt. Such an interesting beer. It feels like a mash up of a quad, barley wine and just a hint of stout. Fun and bold.
