1 liter bottle. Clear copper color with yellowish head, lacing. Aroma is caramel, bready. Taste is caramel, nutty, some toffee, with a nice bitter finish. Medium carbonation. Nice altbier.

On tap at Schumacher. A little darker than the Alt. Still filtered, but a redder touch. Steady, foamy, beige head. Heavier and sweeter than the Alt. I suppose more of an Amber Lager/Ale to me, lacks the finesse of the classic Alt.

Tap at Schumacher w/ Lunch. Filtered, orange brown body. Large beige/off-white head. Clean, medium bodied. Smooth caramel malts. Pleasant hop balance. Classic. Excellent.

The truest of altbiers. Amber color and malt forward. Clean, but still a touch of that dms-like stuff. Great beer. Schumacher dusseldorf

Schumacher Latzenbier, Fläschchen von Hopfen & Malz im Wedding. - Dunkles Kupferrot, klar. (24.6.2022.)

Draft at the source. Brown with a frothy, off-white head. Aroma slightly richer than the standard Schumacher Alt, full of caramel, oak and nuts. Taste mildly sweet up front, bittersweet to bitter at the back. Medium-bodied, moderate carbonation. Pleasant drinking.
