Bottle 0,5ltr: Clear brown/ruby coloured ale with an fine roasted malts taste and hints of banana or maybe apple. And a good foamy head too, for English beer though.

Bottle at home, thanks to Roger, 26/12/24. Moderately hazed golden orange topped with a lasting just off white head. Nose is orange zest, airy malts, melon, tangerine, kumquat. Taste comprises orange squash, grass, soft malts, melon, mandarin, peach. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close splashed with mellow hop bitterness. Trad brewer attempting craft and meeting somewhere in the middle. Not terrible by any means but wouldn't bother with it again ... file under pedestrian.

Bottle from Lidl, Inverurie. It pours clear chestnut brown with a decent fluffy light tan head. The aroma is earthy, woody, nutty, some bread, ryvita, leather, cacao nibs and coffee grounds. The taste is drying, earthy bitterness, woody, nutty, cacao nibs, coffee grounds, burnt toast, ryvita, brown bread, leather and toasty spice with a drying, earthy finish. Average body and moderate, fluffy carbonation. It's ok,.but not as drinkable as I expected. Quite toothy and earthy.

Bottle with Saturday lunch because why not! Lovely rich and dark colour in the glass with some lacing. The taste and mouthfeel is that of a dark beer that is well made and very pleasant. Maybe slightly over carbonated, but a perfect lunchtime pint.
