Description

Bottle. Color: Black, dense, lasting light brown head. Aroma: Roasted malt, coffee, slghtly salt and sour. Taste: Moderate sweet and bitter with a light to moderate sour and salty twist. Subtle notes of roasted malt, coffee, bit boozy. Some wood. Hints of lemon / citrus fruit and light Bretty hints. Quite dense and bit oily, dry-ish mouthfeel. Imperial Stout with a very nice, unusual twist. Very nice.

Hazy pale golden colour, huge frothy off-white head, dissipates slowly yet unevenly, heavy lacing. Aroma yeast, lemon, goose berry, barnyard notes. Taste medium sweet, light bitter and light sour notes, malty, lemon, yeast, spicy. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, dry sweetbitter aftertaste with a light sourish touch, orange pith, spicy notes, quite peppery on the tongue, very easy to drink, more than nice.

33cl fles van Vonk. Fruitig, funky, met name in de geur, wat hoppig, fijn zoetje, zachte bittere finish. Lekker, al had de Brett van mij nog wel wat prominenter mogen zijn.

0.33 l bottle from 'Het Biermoment', best before July 2021. Slightly hazy, deep amber with a medium large, foamy, almost stable, off-white head. Sweetish, gently fruity-resiny and a slightly funky aroma of mango, orange peel, a touch of brett funk and traces of pine. Gently sweet, slightly bitter, quite fruity, slightly funky and a bit resiny taste of mango, orange peel, brett funk and a touch of pine, followed by a medium long, slightly bitter, gently funky and a little resiny finish. Medium to full body, smooth and gently effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Well-balanced Brett IPA, although the IPA character is a bit tame.
