Description
In 2011 we Howling Hops reopened the Cock tavern on Mare street as Hackney’s first brewpub. The brewery expanded a few times but still couldn’t really keep up with the demand. So in 2015 the brewery moved to the current address in the heart of Hackney Wick.

Howling Hops brew bold, modern, uncompromised, flavoursome, generously hopped beers. All our beers are unfiltered, unpasteurised and suitable for vegans. We still stick to our early philosophy of ‘make some interesting beer’, although not every one is different these days. We have a core of 4 beers that we brew regularly, a couple of beers we brew seasonally and every 3 or 4 weeks we brew a different single batch beer.

(Cask at Cock Tavern, Hackney, London, 30 May 2025) Cloudy golden colour with foamy, off-white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with notes of citrus, grapefruit and lemon peel. Fruity, hoppy taste with citrus, grapefruit, peaches, white bread and a balanced citric bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a slight sweetness. Mainly about citra hops. Fresh and tasty. Nice one.
