An opaque dark brown beer - it even seems unclear - with a thin brown head. The aroma is malty with some dusty hoppy notes, but also hints of licorice and roasted malt. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of caramel and roasted malt, as well as lighter notes of licorice, that gets stronger as You get closer to the end. A nice beer, but thin for being 6.6% ABV.

An unclear deep red beer with a dense light brown head - looking at the color I’d never guess, that this is a brown ale. The aroma is slightly acidic and malty, with light notes of roasted malt. The flavor is sweet malty with light notes of chocolate and roasted malt.

A dark amber beer with a thin light brown head. The aroma is sweet malty with light notes of caramel, but also a slight acidity. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel. I find it slightly boring.

(On tap) Unclear dark brown with an orange glow. Delicate, creamy, fine structured, beige head - almost Guinness-like and velvety. Unfortunately it collapses rather fast. Very fruity aroma with some refined esters of almonds and marzipan. Very soft body with notes of citrus - mandarin - but at the same time a warmer, more christmasy flavour structure of dried fruits and honey. Lightly vinous finish almost without any bitterness. You also get a glimpse of some burned notes from the dark malt. The warming alcohol is present, but yet deceptively well hidden. A bit low in carbonation, but the brewer promises, that this will be fixed. A very promising and christmasy brew, yet light and very quaffable. 271005 (Bottle 50 cl) Pours a hazy, orangey brown with a dense, yellowish head. Spicy aroma with some licorice. Medium body sweet notes of fruit - oranges in particular - spices and also dried fruit. (On tap) Dark brown with a warm, reddish glow and a small, creamy beige couloured head. Light aroma of roasted malt. Very roasted flavours with weak notes of coffee and a dry late bitterness. Weak underlying caramel sweetness. Quite pleasant light porter. 140905

(On tap) Hazy, slightly muddy orangey brown with a small, off-white head. Light roasted, caramelish aroma. Loads of wonderful fruit esters on a soft and very malty background. Short, dry, bitter finish. Quite wellmade with a somewhat rustic "homebrewed" touch. 230805

(On tap) Hazy orangey golden with a small, creamy head of a very fine structure. It collapses rather quickly though. Low carbonation. Weak floral aroma. Lovely fruitiness on the base of a rather light body. Dry, short bitterness - but not an overpowering one. I miss some more potency and some real ale/IPA hops instead of Saazer. As of now this has too much of a Pilsener feel. 230805
