500ml bottle. Pours a pale golden with a small head. Aroma is hops, citurs and resin. Citrus starts on the taste and follows with a hoppy bitter finish. Good level of carbonation. As a note, this bottle is labeled at 4.2%, rather then 5% in the picture.

6th November 2008. Clear gold beer. Hoppy with a little spicy dryness in the finish. Inoffensive and okay but nothing you put yourself out for.

Bottle, Global Wines, Birmingham. Poured a standard clear golden colour with a reasonable sized white head. Low key aroma with dusty hop and biscuit malt notes Restrained hop flavour, that had some citrus lurking and led to some bitterness ,but all slightly ho hum really. Somewhat of a chore to finish the bottle and that’s never a great sign.

[Cask at the Good Food Show 2009, NEC, Birmingham] Gold, slight white head, moderate carbonation. A lovely refreshing herb-and-flower flavour with hints of citrus and a well-balanced gentle dry bitterness in the finish. Nice!

[Cask at the Back of Beyond, Reading] Gold, small white head. Crisp, clean, light and refreshing with floral hops and a long, dry citrus finish. Possibly a little one dimensional, and I could quickly get bored of it, but nevertheless if you want a quick pint of a really refreshing golden ale, this would definitely hit the mark.

Small creamy pale beige head. Coppery body. Floral roasty straw aroma, kind of faint, but harmonic, with fruity notes. Dry-sweet floral resiny wooden taste with fruity caramel notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, smooth mouthfeel. Dry resiny chalky metallic aftertaste with floral notes. Clean, fresh palate. Very nice, and highly drinkable. (0.5l cask, The Sheep Heid Inn, Duddingston.)
