XT Brewing
Microbrewery
in Long Crendon,
Buckinghamshire,
England 🏴
Associated Venue: XT Brewery
Established in 2011
We designed and installed our 18 barrel brewery during 2011 and brewed the first full scale gyle in November 2011. The equipment was custom built for us in Burton upon Trent.
The brewery is on the beautiful Notley Farm estate on the Oxfordshire Buckinghamshire borders, with far reaching views over the Chiltern hills. We are as eco-friendly and sustainable as possible; recycling nearly all our waste products and our spent raw materials go to local farmers to feed their cattle and pigs.

Floor 42, share a bottle or two! Thanks to Mr Tips. Light haze on this amber beer, good pale tan head. Palate is smooth and semi dry, modest fine carbonation. Smooth and mellow dark malts, a little dark chocolate. Roasty bitterness. Tangy fruits underneath. Mild piney hop reminds that is a CDA. Light smooth finish.

Bottle from brewer's own stall at the Thame Food Festival. Brown with a thin tan head and a middling fizz. Chocolate and brown sugar with a touch of smoke and some oaky vanilla. There's a little red wine and some dry leaves. It's on the sweet side with just enough dryness and bitterness to balance it leaving a lasting roastiness in finish. Really good stuff, oddly far better than the barrel-aged version I'd tried previously.

Cask ½ pint at The Crispin, Wokingham, on October 16, 2017.Right now a right bitch to search for, since ratebeer serach is messing up and the brewry has too many beers under its page to view. Finally using variants of "Advanced Search" managed.Malty, a tad toasted, some alcohol taste. Grainy, biscuit, a bit fruity aftertaste. Medium mouthfeel, medium though fairly dry bitterness. Clear dark brown color, tan head with lacing. Malty, grainy, some alcohol scent.6/4/6/3/12=3.1

Well & Bucket. Cask. Hazy amber beer, good pale cream colour head. Palate is smooth and a little sweet. Modest carbonation. Sweetish creamy malts. Good Sorachi lemon, some orange as well. Floral lemon and spciy bitter lemon. Dry bitter finish. Spicy lemon linger. Good Sorachi kick from this gold. Nice. KeyKeg would have been fab.

Cask at the Thame Food Festival. Hazy golden-copper colour with a negligible head. Tastes fruity - orange with a little fresh-cut grass. Sweetish but well-balanced and with a nice full mouthfeel. It went surprisingly well with the Sumatran satay I was eating at the time.

Can from the brewer's own stall at the Thame Food Festival. Dark brown in hue, thin of body and a little fizzy. Tastes of burnt malt, earth, and a little pine. Not much hop here, more like a weak stout than a BIPA. Disappointing, especially coming from a brewery that I'm normally quite fond of.

Cask gravity at the St Albans BEER festival 2017. A light hazed deep orange coloured pour with a a frothy off white head. Aroma is semi sweet leafy citrus hop, lemon rind, grass, soft grains, light eggy. Flavour is composed of semi malts, nutty, grassy citrus, little vanilla, little sorachi like thing,. Palate is mellow grainy, decent cask condition. Semi sweet. Not bad. Little chalky on the tongue.
