Description
XT Brewing Co is an innovative, independent brewery crafting a wide range of exceptional beers. Our XT beers form the core range of characterful, full flavoured brews and our wild side, Animal Brewing Co, pushes the boundaries with new and exciting one-off specials. The options are as infinite as the natural world.
We designed and installed our 18 barrel brewery during 2011 and brewed the first full scale gyle in November 2011. The equipment was custom built for us in Burton upon Trent.
The brewery is on the beautiful Notley Farm estate on the Oxfordshire Buckinghamshire borders, with far reaching views over the Chiltern hills. We are as eco-friendly and sustainable as possible; recycling nearly all our waste products and our spent raw materials go to local farmers to feed their cattle and pigs.

Cask at the Reading beer festival. Deep amber. Chocolate, wood and a dry finish. As per the base beer this is decent, but Iโm not sure that the oak aging has made any real impact. If anything, the dryness of the oak detracts from the richness of the underlying beer. A rare disappointment from XT; itโs still a good beer, just not quite up to the normal high standard of this brewery.

Cask at Merton Beer Festival 28th February & 1st March 2014 also at brewery 25th Feb. I also had this beer at the brewery on Tuesday with Russ (brewer) where we tried both a very, very fresh one and a cask that had been on for a few days interestingly the latter was as clear as a bell and sparkling on the pour whereas the very fresh offering (like this at Merton) was throwing a haze. This is a very good Saison, authentic in taste, aroma and appearance and a very good effort. Very popular at Merton and the second quickest cask to run out. Light spiciness some subtle lemon and a gentle tart, tangy, fruity flavour. This would be brilliant in the summer and would likely score even higher from me, but even so I really like this wonderfully refreshing beer. Like all of the XT beers here this looks great on the pour. A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov15 3.8
